green with envy

please,
just don't get stoned on the days you're seeing me.

sanguine, or: two months' news

when the blood flows i know
what they saw when she was sanguine
but i don't see it here

when the tide leaves my body
so the sweetness my spirit
if at least for a short while

so fragile, so small
I waited in line for seven days
for one egg to fall.

bookish

bookish
i write poetry when i think
i want to write on with you
louder and true

matador II

casually moseying
jingling jacket rings

this has been the most infinite
of black holes or pinholes
of metre and matador
a rhythm and sound wrapped in
delicate bounds

in october we were sound
and one year you were 'round

times two and you
  1. still
  2. hardly
  3. know
  4. me
  5. you
  6. say

[[[[note: this particular poem isn't actually the source of the title "of metre and matador." the matador ties back to a previous idea and poem, which i don't know if you'll ever see. the word "metre" was just fitting.]]]]]]

words too clever too take four knot
